Outdoor Retailer

'H2O Audio voted "pillar of the community" at the Outdoor Retailer in Salt Lake City, Utah.'
Having nothing to do with the giant electrical hub obstructing, I'm sorry, enhancing our booth, we managed to walk away with the coveted Pillar of the Community award. When asked about the importance of winning such an award Ron Wilson, Marketing Manager at H2O Audio, had this to say, "Winning the Pillar of the community award means a lot to H2O Audio. Our creed here at H2O Audio is, and will always be, "you ain't gots to lie to kick it," which really screams the importance of integrity and trust in our company."

All kidding aside, The Outdoor Retailer was a great success for H2O Audio.
If your in Orlando for the Surf Expo(Booth# 1408) in September don't forget to stop by and say hello.

2007 U.S. Open of Surfing

The 2007 U.S. Open of Surfing at Huntington Beach is in the books and the H2O Audio booth was a huge hit. If you didn't get a chance to check us out, I guess we'll see you next year.

Congratulations to the U.S. Open winners. In the womens final, American Karina Petroni took home the title and in the mens final American C.J. Hobgood edged out the Frenchmen Jeremy Flores. A winner for the H2O Audio Raffle has also been chosen, so check your email!

The Sports Integration System is here!

Mollusks and oysters employ the use of shells as their armor. The iPod Nano prefers the strength and functionality of H2O Audio’s Ruggedized Outdoor Case (iNR.) Speaking of which, the most durable Nano housing in the world just got a lot more interesting.

The Sports Integration System (SISTM) is an accessory that allows users to mount their Ruggedized Outdoor Case (iNR) securely to their mountain bikes handlebars, and by way of our patent pending “quick clip” technology relocate their iNR to their backpack or armband with ease.

The Ruggedized Outdoor Case paired with the Sports Integration System makes for one bad ace Nano case.

The Best Odyssey

Imagine sailing on a spectacular mint Lagoon 570 catamaran and surfing, kiteboarding and spear-fishing at exotic locations people only get to see on the Travel Channel. Unfortunately I don’t even have basic cable.

Our friends at The Best Odyssey have put together a slide show of their last trip to salt the open wounds of our jealousy. Thank you kindly.

The Best Odyssey is currently relaxing in Puerto La Cruz before she takes off on her next adventure July 21st.

Music | exercise | Prince

Researchers have uncovered an amazing number of benefits derived from listening to music. According to people much smarter then me, music has the power to energize, soothe, change emotional outlook, boost immunity, reduce pain, speed recovery, lower blood pressure, aid in weight loss, improve focus and IQ, and turn a 5’2” pop singer into a sex icon “Raspberry Beret.” These are just a sampling of scientific findings. Hearing is a physiological process involving the ears, brain, body and nervous system. Music, like all sound energy, can drive changes in our minds and bodies as we listen to it. Studies have shown that subjects exposed to music during physical activity have experienced a significant increase in stamina and overall athletic performance.

Tech Highlight | Commander Scroll Wheel Control

The Commander Scroll Wheel Control

It may sound like a character from an Oliver Stone movie but in fact it is the heart and soul of the H2O Audio housing.

Let me break it down for you folks.

iPod scroll wheel sensors work by using an electrical phenomenon called capacitance. Whenever two electrically conductive objects come near each other without actually touching, their electric fields interact to form a capacitance. The human finger is a good electrical conductor. When you place your finger on the scroll wheel a capacitance forms between your finger and the metal wires under the scroll wheel. We're losing him doctor! Clear!

Did that make any sense? (Can I get a spell check!)

In a nutshell, (pistachio) the electrical conductivity of the Commander scroll wheel replaces the conductivity of your finger allowing you to operate your iPod underwater. SWEET!

I'm going to go take a nap now.

The T-seal | Waterproof, but not fool proof

The correct way to install and maintain your T-seal.

First off, it is extremely important to ensure that your T-seal is properly seated during each and every closure.

It's a fact folks, 99.9% of all housing leaks are do to human error. Of course it won't happen to you because you're smart enough to read this entire post, and your provided instructions. Sweet!

The Break Down!

Prior to use

1. T-seal is aligned in housing properly prior to closure.
(Muy Importante!)
2. T-seal and contact surface have been cleaned properly with a lint free cloth.
3. T-seal and contact surface are free of scratches and other imperfections.

Do not even attempt to take your H2O Audio product in the water if:

1. T-seal is twisted, or out of alignment during closure.
2. T-seal and contact surfaces have any dirt, lint, hair, sand, seaweed, twine, small crustaceans, you get the picture.
3. You see scratches or imperfections on the T-seal or contact surfaces.

Please visit our website, http://www.h2oaudio.com/, for detailed instructions on how to properly handle and maintain your T-seal.

I'd like to thank our hand model Papa Smurf for helping us out.

Thank you.
